Miranda Detained in Bank Indonesia Graft Probe
Former Bank Indonesia senior deputy governor Miranda S. Goeltom was officially detained on Friday as a suspect in a bribery case. She was charged with bribing lawmakers during her 2004 election to the central bank post.

Miranda, declared a suspect in the case on Jan. 26, arrived at the KPK offices at 9:50 a.m. and came out a detainee eight hours later.
She said after her questioning that she accepted the detention and had signed the warrant, but she insisted she did not meet the three requirements for custody. Read about it in today's Jakarta Globe or subscribe to receive the paper every day.
