Buford, Wyoming, the town for sale we mentioned last month has sold for $900,000. The buyers were two businessmen from Vietname.

MSNBC:

Until recently, the town’s one resident was Don Sammons, 61, who managed the town’s liquor sales, hardware sales, gas pump and hot dog warmer. Sammons moved months ago, and the phone to the Buford Trading Post has been disconnected.

Buford, featured on “Nightly News” last weekend, is on Highway 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie in southeast Wyoming. The town was originally listed at $100,000. The auction house, Williams and Williams, told NBC News that buyers from more than 70 countries expressed interest.

Only in Las Vegas: A Bus That Cures Your Hangover

Hangover Heaven bus

Hangover Heaven is a hangover cure on wheels. Their bus continuously make loops up and down the Las Vegas Strip. Most of the larger casinos have a "Tour Bus" pick up area, that's where you'll want to crawl and wait for them to pick you up. “All of the casinos have this area pretty well marked – if your eyes are too blurry to read signs, ask the concierge or just some person walking by,” explained the company.

Their treatment will cure your hangover in less than 45 minutes. Hangover Heaven involves placing a small IV in your arm to give you the necessary treatment to continue the party or just get back to your normal self. They use tiny Pediatric IVs and a numbing medicine to make the process very comfortable.

For $150, they’ll have you back at the party or on your way to bed within the hour.

Chocolate Printing

BBC:

The UK scientists who developed a prototype chocolate printer last year say they have now perfected it.

They hope to have the machine on sale at the end of April – just missing the Easter egg rush.

It would allow chocolate lovers to print their own custom-made sweets, layer by layer.

Lead scientist Dr Liang Hao, from the University of Exeter, founded the Choc Edge company to commercialise the device after interest from retailers.

They’ve Done the Time: Prison Consultants

Prison

Have you been to prison? I hope that you did your time quietly, and made your changed your ways.

Do you not know what to do with yourself now? Did you know that you have valuable knowledge about an experience that most people have no concept of? Did you know that people will pay you for that knowledge? The NY Times reports on the rise of prison consultants:

Mr. Levine is a prison consultant. The business — which entails advising people who are facing jail time on how to prepare for life on the inside, deal with medical issues, transfer to other prisons and even reduce their sentences — has been around for decades. It enjoys a burst of publicity when a boldface name like Bernie Madoff or Michael Vick hires a consultant.

But the business is changing. Behind the scenes, the profession is attracting a new crop of ex-cons who believe they can put their experience to work, rather than have it burden them in a tough job market.

And more competition means rising tempers and flying accusations. Some prison consultants say that others are so lacking in expertise that their businesses are practically criminal enterprises. Rancor among thieves.

"This industry's exploding," mourned Mr. Levine, who operates two Web sites, American Prison Consultants and Wall Street Prison Consultants. He reached to a nearby coffee table and picked up a piece of paper listing the names of several dozen competitors and the length of their prison sentences. This is not a rap sheet, it's market research.

Daily Mail:

Next time you see a dog lapping thirstily at a toilet bowl, pause for thought – next time, it could be you.

A new invention – funded by Bill Gates – aims to turn used toilet water into drinking water.

Manchester University's Sarah Haigh is an expert in nanotechnology – the science of manipulating atoms in matter – and says, it could make waste water from toilets safe to drink.
