About the experts: Richard Green is a USC professor and the director of the Lusk Center for Real Estate, a research and academic program based at the university's Marshall School of Business. An expert on housing markets, housing policy, mortgage finance, and urban growth, he recently served as president of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association. Before joining USC, he was a faculty member at George Washington University and the University of Wisconsin, and he served as principal economist and director of financial strategy and policy analysis at Freddie Mac. Jill Schlesinger is editor-at-large of CBS MoneyWatch.com. Previously, she owned and operated an independent investment advisory firm in New England, serving as the chief investment officer, director of marketing and senior adviser to more than 400 clients. She co-hosted a three-hour weekly financial radio talk show for 12 years and served as a financial contributor for local television affiliates, Fox News Channel, Fox Business News, CNN, and CBS News. Prior to her career in retail financial services, Jill was an options trader on the Commodities Exchange of New York, where she was one of eight female members on an exchange of 800.
